Website design & development
HIGH-PERFORMANCE WORDPRESS WEBSITES.
If the website is slow, generic, difficult to maintain or unclear about what the business actually sells, more traffic only amplifies the problem. I design and build custom WordPress websites that connect positioning, search visibility, performance and conversion from the same architecture.
SCOPE / DELIVERY
WHAT THE WORK COVERS.
The project is shaped around the business, but the core job is consistent: make the offer easier to understand, the site easier to discover and the technical foundation easier to operate.
Positioning and information architecture
Define audience, offer, proof and page hierarchy so visitors understand what matters without decoding the business.
Commercial copy and on-page SEO
Map search intent to real pages, write commercial copy and build internal links that support both discovery and decision-making.
Custom responsive theme build
Build a custom responsive WordPress interface without forcing the business into a generic theme or page-builder pattern.
Performance and accessibility gates
Test representative pages for speed, responsive behaviour, keyboard/focus interaction, forms, headings and structural validity before launch.
FAQ / DECISION
Questions, answered.
Will the website be easy for my team to manage?
Yes. The editing model is designed around the content the team actually needs to change, while technical controls stay out of the way.
Can you handle the whole website rather than only development?
Yes. Positioning, page architecture, commercial copy, search foundations, implementation and launch QA can be handled as one coordinated project when that is the useful scope.
Quality control
Performance is a release criterion, not a marketing badge.
Performance is a release criterion because it affects acquisition, comprehension and trust, but a fast empty page is not a successful business website. I test representative pages with PageSpeed Insights, Yellow Lab Tools, browser diagnostics and HTML validation, then check the actual content, forms, responsive behaviour and conversion paths by hand.
The foundation is also designed for change. A site may begin with services and enquiries, then add multilingual content, appointments, customer areas, quotations or internal workflows. Those additions should extend a coherent system rather than force another rebuild.
- 01
Mobile-first performance checksTest the pages and interactions people actually use, with mobile constraints treated as first-class conditions.
- 02
HTML and structural validationCatch invalid structure, heading problems and markup regressions before they become permanent content debt.
- 03
Asset and dependency reviewKeep scripts, media, fonts and plugin dependencies proportionate to the value they provide.
- 04
Accessible interaction and responsive QAVerify keyboard, focus, responsive states, forms and reduced-motion behaviour as part of release QA.
Project workflow
From business objective to verified launch
The project moves from business decisions to implementation in a fixed order so expensive design and code are not used to solve an unclear positioning problem.
-
Position
Define the audience, offer, proof, conversion goal and page priorities.
-
Plan
Create the information architecture, keyword map and internal linking plan.
-
Write & design
Develop commercial copy and the interface together so layout supports the argument instead of decorating it.
-
Build & verify
Implement the WordPress system, then verify responsive behaviour, performance, forms, accessibility and launch-critical routes.
Questions answered
Questions clients usually ask
Can you guarantee a PageSpeed score of 100?
No responsible developer can guarantee the same score under every page, device, network and third-party integration. I design for strong performance, measure the actual implementation and explain the trade-offs openly.
Is WordPress capable of being fast?
Yes. Weak performance is often caused by implementation choices, heavy themes, excessive scripts, unoptimised media and unsuitable hosting rather than WordPress alone.
Does a fast website automatically rank first on Google?
No. Performance and technical quality support user experience and search, but rankings also depend on relevance, competition, authority, content and many external factors.
Can you migrate an existing site without losing its URLs?
Yes. A redesign should include a URL and content migration plan, redirects where necessary and checks to preserve valuable search signals.

BRING THE REAL PROBLEM
START THERE.
If the current site is slow, generic, hard to maintain or simply no longer explains the business well, send the URL and the result you need. I will tell you whether the right next step is a rebuild, a redesign or a smaller intervention.
